When I play a scary game I will turn the sound of the game off and play a song, like I will be killing zombies while listening to Sabrina Carpenter or Taylor Swift because the games audio is too scary 😃

When I play horror games I'm most likely to have a backup music playlist just in case the actual music scares me half to death and makes me not want to hear it HAHA-

Right now, I'm playing Project Zomboid, and from my experience from that game, turning the game sound off and play other songs is just a recipe for disaster.
Sure, it may help you get rid of scary sound, just for more jumpscares after that haha.
