How would you define wisdom? Anything and everything

Hey there🙂

lately I discussed with a friend what the definition of wisdom might be. Can you learn wisdom by studying all kinds of philosophy? Can you only become wise by experiencing a lot?
Well.. we didnt find an answer.
Whats your definition of wisdom?

I don't think learn wisdom by studying all kinds of philosophy could be wisdom... I think that wisdom is not only defined by philosophy, but much more...
Become wise by experiencing a lot is still not for me philosophy... I mean, let's take al example : school. You experience a lot with studies and your teachers, but you don't become that wise... Maybe because we become more wise by growing up.

For me, wisdom is to act reasonably in any situation, and more you grow up, more you earn wisdom

Not really. Yes we definitely need to experience a lot if we want to became wisdom. But the most important thing is we should learn from our experiences.

Clever, cute, pearl, compassionate,a little lazy, jealous, kind, introverted

My definition of wisdom is:
If person is opened for every potential event, circumstances, and opinions. It is also consciousness, that You can be totally wrong, that even most reliable theory can be wrong/ even most stupid theory can be right. Just think about every possibilities. Of course, not like: "Oh, what the wind blows, that is what I will think". Be ready for everything, as much, as it possible.
It is also experience, knowledge, and Your ability to analyse them, and drawing conclusions from them.
Because of studing, You just know what Kant or Platon was thinking about. How they were looking at the world. You have more knowledge, maybe You can create more theories with this knowledge, because they showed You new perspective. But even if You will have mind of all world philosophers, You will be still not as wise, as someone who is aware that he can be wrong, he can be right, something can change, or turned out completely into absurdal thing/form/way.
The truly wise person, can understand another person, mostly. Even if they don't agree in situation, wise person should understand motives/circumstances/thinking way, of this second person.

Wisdom is not accumulation of knowledge. One can reach knowledge by experiences. Knowledge and truth are not the very same thing in most cases. Truth is a pathless land. And the wise people are those wandering to that land without following the paths we've been taught.

In my opinion, wisdom is the general way of to use my experiences and which i got the knowledge by regularly!

I got that and and i'm agree with it!

I think that wisdom is the ability to use what one knows and has experienced in a way that improves a situation. Sometimes not acting is the wise thing to do but knowing that is important as well.

I don't think that one can necessarily learn to be wise, but the more one has learned the more likely they are to be wise. Also I think that people who learn from other people's experience and then apply that knowledge positively are showing wisdom in doing so.

there is a good definition . In FRench la sagesse est l'intelligence reflechie in Englsih .thoughtful intelligence
The king salomon was a wise man.
Intelligence because intelligence is not an hereditory fact ...it is a natural gift .
Thoughful because a wise man has to weigh his words and his actions before posing them gently. (his reflection comes from learning about life and above all from understanding human functioning )
It is why ..i think that the wisdom is not easy and it is not accessible for everyone .
