Never understood why it's called French toast everywhere, here in the 🇬🇧 it's just egg fried bread. The best is to make a bacon, cheese, fried egg sandwich with the egg soaked bread then deep fry it. 😁

No it's just sometimes a deep fried sandwich like that is a good way to start the day, a British breakfast is a lot more food.

Please tell me is french toast from France or somewhere elseI know in America they call it French toast but in the UK its egg bread, because, that's what it is lol. Soak bread in scrambled egg then pan fry on both sides till crispy, serve with bacon, sausage, beans, hash browns, mushroom, and blood pudding. Yummy.
It's origins are not clear, it looks like everyone had this back in the 3rd century.
