If you could write a story, what would you write about?

In China, stories or novels about going through the time and live in ancient times is very popular. If you are a writer, what kind of story would you write?

If I had enough info, I would write a novel in a perspective of a person who suffers from schizophrenia. That could be interesting to read and see how it works and brings up the aspect of community and mental illness
