Have you ever missed writing back to a pen pal and now you feel like you want to, but your anxiety is keeping you from doing it?
I thought about what to do for a while, and I think that this forum might help. Pals can see who react to this forum, and if they want to write you back, they might do it! Looking for ways to reconnect is hard for someone with social anxiety, and writting this was even worse
If u feel that way i think it is super brave that u wrote it @Ru_phd!!! For writing friends like from some time ago here i dont really think it is difficult. BUTTT in real life i KNOWWW that u can be super nervous if u really see each other again and for me what i have the most is that i am afraid that it is not like the last time that u spoke and were together. And then it can be SUPER awkward and if u have really nice memories than it will be really different afterwards and i dont want that. But it can happen that THEY contact u and that is always nice but if it is real life i feel MUCHH more nervous than just here when u can think more about what u write back and how u feel about it. 🙄🙄
I have a guy that I've communicated with for almsot two years. We've taken multi month long breaks and I always feel that anxiety about messaging him again.
But sometimes, it's him that messages me first. So for that reason, I still do it.
I meant at first like on here, there are a couple of pals Id love to reconnect with, but god Im shy about it. If they see this post and think they want to reconnect as well, please do!

Maybe u can tag them bc maybe they dont see it if they dont look on the forum. But i think u can just write everybody and if they dont write back it is ok and maybe later they write back!! 😊😊

I think what @uMindyTisdale wrote is right so i think everybody wud like to talk again with u but sometimes people are just super busy or i dont know. BUTTTT that does not mean they dont want to talk with u so i wud just write and say like Hiii how are u? 🙂 And that u really liked talking with them and that u just wanted check if they are ok maybe?
