My Feelings
When I am feeling sad or alone
Memories linger like a chilled stone
Laughter shared in a brighter place
With circles of smiles, where I have no space
Their eyes glace past me, quick and light
Like stars, that vanish through the night
They whisper things, I'll never hear
Trading truths while I disappear
There is another world where I can't dwell in on or in
Let me just begin...
It's that one person - oh how my chest does race
He catches my eye, even in a crowded place
Every glance from him is faint
But I'll tell you that's not a complains
As his hand yet holds hers
Oh something about that just stirs
Its something I didn't have planned
Oh but I'm still left trying to understand
It's not just a want, it's something much more
Though its something I chose to ignore
Even if their love fades
The rule is written, the line is laid
Her ex's are ghosts that I can't chase
If I do, I'll lose her too, only leaving an empty space
So, I keep those feelings locked away
In a box, opened on a quiet day
(Its not done yet but its my best so far, I will update when it is complete)
