You may enjoy the stunning wildlife photography of Beverly Joubert (she operates from the Okavango Delta in Botswana). You can check her awesome footage online. Her husband is primarily responsible for video recordings of the same scenes (e.g. known for the Eye of the Leopard movie in which they follow newborn leopard cub Lagadema into adulthood).
I have done quite some traveling and game viewing myself and witnessed some awesome and dramatic wildlife moments myself. Most scenes were captured on camera, but my skills do not exceed “hey there is a cheetah cub…click…full cheetah cub on camera without any trace of artistic traits….” But some mental photos will always remain heavily imprinted in my memory.
I have been member of a photographygroup for more than 10 years. I am photographing Architecture, Landschapes, Animals, Events, Sport, Models/Portraits. A brief post in this forum thread to solicit any feedback that others may have in using drones to capture stunning landscapes from an aerial view. We will be visiting canyons and other natural awes in Kazakhstan (eastern side in the vicinity of Almaty) and would like to get the most out of our visit. We have seen options with proper obstacles detection and other features that are particularly useful when used by beginners. Grateful to read about the experiences of others who have used drones for landscape photography.
