A cumulonimbus cloud can leave behind a lot of rain, very heavy wind gusts can occur and there can be large-scale thunderstorms. You can read more about severe thunderstorms here. Now not every cumulonimbus is equally heavy and that also depends on the weather situation itself, but it is a certainty that you have to be alert when you see this cloud and be able to take immediate action. What you also often see with a cumulonimbus is an anvil. The cumulonimbus grows so far that at a certain point it reaches the top of the atmosphere in which it can grow. Then the cloud, as it were, hits his head and then spreads out to the side. We call that the anvil.
