Interview with @Korisnik 04.08.2026
Thank you very much @Korisnik that i can interview for the forum!!! ๐๐ I promised for the interview to not make super personal questions but more things what u think abt things and like. ๐ So i have 20 questions and for each part i ask 5. And if u dont like a question u can just tell me and i can make a new one!!! ๐๐

1: How long have you been a member of PPG and what are the things you like the most and what are things that u think can be maybe made better? What kind of forums do u like about which topics? And do you maybe have tips for @Etienne?
I joined 7 months ago. Things I like the most are relatively normal users compared to other similar sites and an admin who actually reads and thinks about what people say in forums. That's the way how all penpal sites should work instead of relying on automatic moderation filters only. However, I would like to see immediate bans for pedophiles here - some users behave very creepy and probably groom minors. For forums I can't point out any favourites. When I see a topic which might be interesting for me and I think I can say something useful or I want to say something, I make a post. My engagement in forums usually depends on how much I'm online, how much I'm interested at the certain moment and how much I care about the topic.
2: What is the nicest of your country that you are super proud of? And what are things that maybe can be better? Does Croatia change a lot or not really since for example 10 years ago?
My country is very diverse in a lot of aspects. Part of Croatia where I live has an excellent weather and a wonderful nature. Things which suffocate Croatia are tribalism, corruption, nepotism and grey economy. Antun Gustav Matoลก, Croatian poet, once said: '2 Croats=3 political parties'. That's quite self-explanatory how divided we can be about anything. On the other hand, when really needed we freeze our disagreements and act as one. There were numerous occasions when somebody needed money for getting life-saving treatment abroad and we always collect enough money in such cases. In past 10 years Croatia has changed. 13 years ago we entered EU, a few years ago we implemented Schengen and replaced kuna with euro. All of that fueled inflation a bit, before that the inflation has been on insignificant levels. Before Covid pandemic we've had a lot of tourists. Sometimes it was so overcrowded and nearly impossible to walk normally in main hubs in some places during the seasonal peak. Now our prices have skyrocketed so we are not as interesting as we used to be for tourists, but we still attract plenty of them. Maybe the best thing in Croatia is safety, even within European standards. Violent crimes rarely happen (avoid nightclubs, strip clubs, and football matches) and if they happen it's usually a continuation of some old disagreement. Our nature is also quite safe (watch out for snakes, don't climb to mountains in flip flops and don't try to row to islands and you will be fine most of the time) and our healthcare system is almost free of a charge.
3: What do you think about schools in Croatia and universities? Do you think they are different than for example in other countries? And what are things that can be better or things that should NOT change?
Based on information I've heard, schools and universities in Croatia are a bit different than those in other Western countries. In my opinion our educational system is a bit outdated and indirectly fuels 4 suffocating things which I mentioned in an answer to your previous question. Our educational system is set in a way which relies more on memorisation than on creative thinking. That's why we sometimes consider Western people, especially Americans, as uneducated because they don't know as much data as we do. Very big problem with students here is cheating. Penalties for cheating look like a joke compared to other Western countries, even at universities. Personally I've never met a person for whom I can say for sure that he or she hasn't cheated at least once during education. If you don't cheat, you get a reputation of an idiot. Like I've already said, all of this helps in normalising tribalism, corruption, nepotism and grey economy and that should be changed as soon as possible.
4: What kind of food dishes do you like the most? And which world kitchen do you like the most if u can choose from all the countries in the world? And can you cook or maybe bake yourself really well? What is the best dish that you can make? ๐
I'm a terrible chef, but my spaghetti are safe to eat ๐ . I try to have diverse diet based on local, fresh Mediterranean products. I try to eat healthy but sometimes I like to walk away and eat some unhealthy and tasty food - my favourite dish is pizza and for dessert Italian ice-cream.
5: What kind of music do you like? And can you play music instruments and if not do u want to learn that in the future maybe?
I prefer to listen to rock music. I also like classical, synthwave and some local artists who blend few genres. I usually don't reject any song or artist a priori. We had a subject in the school where we had to play a synthesizer. I was very good at it but I didn't develop that talent further. I plan to correct that mistake in the near future.
