Hello everybody, my family and I are looking for a country that might become our permanent country. The preferences of my family (not me included) : mountains, snow, inough land (200.000m² easy to get) for a reasonable price, not too many foolish rules, no muslim or so country, "preferably" in Europe. None of us really feels like staying in France, but I seem the one the most against it. Returning to Spain is, I'm afraid, not really an option, and Slavic countries either. I hope you know something.

Have you considered Romania? If i had to live in Europe again, I'd live there.

@Based_Aura Romania is one of my favorite countries, I trully love it. And my complete family loves Harghita County, but we can't get inough land there. We've live in Buzau region for 3 months, and in Harghita County for 1 year. I trully miss Romania.

That land area will be used for cattle and crops? I think the best choice might be USA, Canada, New Zealand or Argentina. If you don't want to leave Europe and don't want Slavic countries, then maybe Italy or Austria, but you would probably have to do significant compromise between land price and land area. Or Ireland.

Ahhhhh I see. I remember asking the rental costs for the apartments on the beach in Constanţa....the monthly rate was awesome! I'd totally go back.

What about the Baltic Countries?

What about the Baltic Countries?

Considering current geopolitical situation, I think it's not very wise to go there at least for some time.

True.. but I'd still go back

why do you think about those countries?

And yes, it's for a farm.

what can you live from when you have an apartment on the beach? How do we get our money?

Baltic Countries, yeah, they interest me a lot, but they're flat, which I don't mind, but my family does.

I think they all are not densely populated so the land price may be relatively cheap.

Any other reason?

Fertile land, coldness, relatively safe.

Alright, thanks.

I would advise against the English countries if you're still wanting that cultural/community feel.

Canada is considered the worst by far, and Aus/NZ aren't much better (at least in terms of gubberment and people's general behaviour). UK isn't actually Mordor according to a Brit I know, it's just area dependent like most places. US is still passable depending on the state. They all have plenty of land in theory though.

There's no easy answer honestly. Every European I've talked to knows we're on the same ship.

I know you were originally hoping for Europe, but have you considered living in Hakuba, Japan? It’s a wonderful place in the mountains with a large international community, so you wouldn't feel out of place. It’s very safe, clean, and the cost of living is quite reasonable. I really think you’d love it there!

Scandinavia for sure😁🥰

but... is it possible for a Europian to start a farm there? Is it easy to sell products?
