Today I read an article that speaks about how much jokes change based on people’s culture. I am Italian, even though jokes are witty in my culture, I kind of like a lot jokes made by playing with words.
For example, the joke I made up myself is this: people from North Italy are called “polentoni” (which is plural) and when you want to say that you are “a bit slow” you can say “un po’ lentino” (potentino - masculine version of polentoni) so my reply is “of course, you are from north!”. Some people get it straight away, others take a bit. Yet whether they get or not, they don’t really laugh at it. Of course my joke has nothing to do with making anyone feel uncomfortable, since I am from North Italy as well.
However I would like know what jokes are appreciated in other countries. What makes people laugh.
