Listening to music while writing/reading

As I know, reading and writing books are very popular things now. At least a lot of my friends or classmates do. And a lot of them listen to music while reading/writing.

Not long ago I started to translate books, and I asked myself a question: "What music would I like to listen and if I should listen to it in the first place?"

What do you think about it? Does music get in a way while writing/reading or not?

If tere is music on whenether im reading, doesnt matter what kind of music, i get lost in my book. Really unhandy.

I always got music on no matter what i am doing

I either read or listen to music, never both at the same time. When I listen to music I strongly need to sing my lungs out 😂

Listening to brain-stimulating music at low volume is fine. But sometimes, music can be distracting.

I get extremely distracted when I listen to music with lyrics. It depends on the person, but music without lyrics is better.

Hi! I definitely have a hard time listening to music while reading. Because if I do, the music "ties" to the book, and if I reread it in the future, I won't be able to forget which song I was listening to at that moment. Does the same thing happen to anyone else?
