In another forum we already talked about Extinction Rebellion. But i think they really go too far and today it got out of hand. So XR blocked the afsluitdijk and this is how it looks:
So there is water on both sides and if you block it than you get super large traffic jams and also that people get really stuck. And XR did it bc they are against that they drill in the Waddenzee and that is bad for the environment.
Now i am FOR a better environment and i think it is important that we try to make it really better. BUTTT now XR tries to force it by blocking ways. And i think that is really wrong. Nobody is allowed to go further not even if you need to go to the hospital or if you are pregnant or very old or with small children. And today they did it on a super warm day!!! THAT IS DANGEROUS!!!!!
And i think people only get angry about XR and it is BAD for a better environment bc people get fed up i think. And i think it will happen one time that somebody who is blocked dies bc they cant get to the hospital or they faint in the warm weather.
The police does not really do something because they dont get to jail or that they have to pay money for what they did. So today there were people throwing stones at XR and they stopped the block. I am against the violence. But now people see it works and maybe it will even go more out of the hand.
How is this in other countries? Does the police do smt against XR and what do people think of them? And were there violence too?
