There are areas in Northern Italy where life is bad and areas in Southern Italy where life is good. There are differences even between areas belonging to the same region. The rankings are banal and useless.
I live in northern Italy and I have seen here, in the magnificent north of Italy, roads, highways, railways and hospitals in deplorable conditions. For some it is convenient to support the idea of a poor and backward south. It is especially convenient for our politicians. There are areas in the south where the quality of life is the same as in the north. I am perfectly aware that there are still poor areas in Calabria, Sicily or Campania, but the south has developed, it has not remained stationary. I do not believe in the supremacy of the north. I will stop here because I don't like polemics and endless discussions.
