TIPS from a native French to learn my language ! 😛🇨🇵

Hiii there ! 🙆‍♀️ I alerady did this that like... 6 month ago but let’s do another forum to learn french ! 🙌

Sooo... Let’s start with a 🎀frEnglIsh🎀 lesson ! If you alerady speak a bit of english, you’ll find some french words that are the same as English!

First, a lot of words that end with "-tion" like:

Imagination 💭, Restauration 🍽, Location 🔻

And more ! There’s also...

Table, piano🎹, croissant🥐...

AND ENGLISH WORDS THAT WE USE MORE THAN ACTUAL FRENCH WORDS LIKE:

"Week-end" (Supposed to be "Fin de semaine")

"Challenge" (Supposed to be "défi" )

"(faire du) shopping" (Supposed to be "Faire ses courses")

THAT’S IT, HOPE THAT IT HELP ! 🙌🤪

(So a little advice, if you don’t know a french word, just say the english one with a french accent, it could work 😂)

the bad thing is that french people too more and more start mixing english with french, for example: job instead of traveille.

Here’s some important french Vocabulary :

Small, little: petit (👈🚹masculine form), petite (👈🚺Feminine form)

Big, tall: grand (👈🚹), grande (👈🚺)

Happy: heureux (👈🚹), heureuse (👈🚺)

Tired: fatigué (👈🚹), fatiguée (👈🚺)

Funny: drôle (same for both 🚹🚺)

Kind / Nice: gentil (👈🚹), gentille(👈🚺)

Je suis heureuse que tu as preparé une petite liste pour étude. C'est très gentille mais mon français est drôle pour tous les personnes de la France. Et je doit une grande dormir parce que je suis très fatiguée!!! 😛

Merci beaucouppp @Boa_RC!!!! This is VERY useful bc i see some mistakes i also made in class but now i understand why. Some were stupid mistakes and i was sloppy bc i wrote fast. But i am really happy for example when you said about c'est and than you must write gentil bc i thought that with c'est you could use yourself so it must be feminine gentille and not gentil. We can often use a dictionary but sometimes i am lazy and i think i know it but it is still better to look it up!!! 😛
