United Nations are effective in social programs but when it comes to state conflicts, the powerful countries use their power to fight in different ways such as vetoing several resolutions that supposed to help the other countries but because their personal gain is in line, they did that to protect their self interest.

In my opinion, if the un will publicly admit that they are helping to solve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, someone will try to stop UN from doing that. Theoretically speaking

MariaShirvani, you are right. The UN is not what it used to be. Now they can't do much. It's a weak political organization now.
