In the map on the profile home page here, if you have a Chinese Penpal but no Taiwan Penpal, China is shown in red, but Taiwan is shown in white instead of red, which means that Taiwan is not counted as part of China in the Penpal-Gate. But the fact isn`t like this, How?
The fact is that Taiwan is independent economically and politically in spite the wishes of the communist government of the continental China. Democratic elections in Taiwan clearly showed that the Taiwanese don’t want to be controlled by a dictatorship that doesn’t respect human rights.
This question is type of border conflicts. As i spotted Penpal Gate shows countries which have any bigger international recognition. From ChPR side Taiwan isnt recognized but Tawian is recognized by many countries in the world as independent country. Same situation with Israel and Palistine. Israel doesnt recognize Palestine as country which should exist but both countries are still on the site. Another situation is with Kosovo which is simply blank territory on the map. Idk what is the specific reason why Kosovo isnt on the map. I guess it isnt that widely recognized like Taiwan or Palestine or its simply fully independent from the Serbia.
To sum up. Taiwan is separate country from China on this site cuz its simply created by volunteers all over the world, not by ChPR government.
The Republic of China (Taiwan) and the People's Republic of China are two distinct legal entities. But I should also add that the listing you are referring to is for territories and not necessarily independent nations per se. The Virgin Islands are part of the US, yet still make the list. Same with Martinique, which belongs to France.
