Personally, I continue to hold a very positive view of the United States. One of the main reasons is an event that took place in January this year, when Trump ordered an elite U.S. military unit—commonly referred to in China as the “Delta Force”—to directly enter Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, and arrest Nicolás Maduro.
This action stood in stark contrast to the confident claims made by certain so-called “experts” in China, who had repeatedly insisted that the United States would never dare to take military action against Venezuela. Seeing those predictions collapse so decisively was, for me, the most striking and even entertaining political moment at the beginning of 2026.
To be honest, I never had much personal admiration for Trump before this. In comparison, I have long respected Biden more and viewed him as a steadier figure. However, after this incident, I found myself developing a sense of goodwill toward Trump for the first time. While I still do not consider him a particularly good leader, I began to feel that he might be, at least on a personal level, a decisive and courageous individual.
Of course, when evaluated objectively and without personal bias, this operation clearly violated relevant United Nations laws and undermined procedural justice. It also sparked serious controversy within the international community. That said, politics is not experienced only through legal frameworks—it is also felt through human realities. Seeing Venezuelan citizens celebrating in the streets, and considering my own life experiences, which make it difficult for me to sympathize with Maduro, I cannot help but view this action as largely positive.
Ultimately, regardless of legal debates or geopolitical tensions, I believe that the well-being and future of the Venezuelan people should matter most.🤠🤠
