To the Chinese people here on this site:

-How is China currently doing in terms of youth unemployment?

-What is the situation in the real estate sector?

-Are Chinese car manufacturers already in the black, and how many car manufacturers are there in the country apart from BYD?

-How is the domestic market doing?

-How is the Taiwan issue developing at the moment? Is the current exercise just a test, or are they trying to do what Russia did, only better

be patient. we won't be shy when it is the time to show our firmest voice and muscle

Nice.
And that you are depend on European markets as Europe is it, too, because the US increased their tolls and China needs markets to sell their overproduction, because otherwise rampant youth unemployment and the fluctuating real estate market will blow up in their faces?

China is trying to have its cake and eat it too, and can only take small risks in everything it does.

Conclusion: China gives and feels strong on the outside, but is just as dependent on functioning economic relations.

Good evening Chris and happy new year ! Do you really think that Germany and France are not doing the same ? I remember very well what an export executive from Audi german premium car maker told us last year , I mean that until 2021 , the same Audi models cars sold in Europe used to be sold until 30% more expensive in China even if those card were produced in chinese factories !Of course , I understand very well why Audi chinese clients and some of them since 30 years became more nationalist when they learnt about such practices from their favorite car mark and I think that we would have done the same in their position !

The crucial difference is that China does not care about market economy values or even fair competition. The major German car manufacturers, for example, have worked hard to achieve their technical lead and have continuously improved quality.

China, on the other hand, has brazenly copied ideas (I don't want to say stolen) and exploited joint ventures to gain access to technical secrets. In our country, this would result in a barrage of contractual penalties, but in China it's more a case of “If you're that naive, it's your own fault!”

If you want to open a business location in China as a foreigner, you have to do two things: 1. Demonstrate that you have a joint venture with a Chinese manufacturer, and 2. Disclose your encryption methods. Why is that?

Plus the fact that there is massive distortion of competition, with the state pouring huge amounts of money into individual companies with the aim of quickly pushing products and thus flooding markets with overproduction and dominating them at the same time. In many other countries, this would simply be illegal.

OK if China is really so evil , why Bmw group is producing since 2023 all its Mini electric cars sold all around the world in China and why Renault Group is doing the same since 2021 with Dacia Spring electric model sold in Europe ! Of course , europeans and american societies used to invest massively in China 30 years ago because they wanted to produce goods.at cheap price for Us and Eu consumers and also selling them to chinese consumers who could afford to buy them and China which used to be a third world country learnt from his masters and became an developped country now !

On the 28th january of this year , Ue commission with Mrs Von der Leyen at her head will take a very important decision concerning the selling of new cars in the Ue with at least or not 60% of their components and production in the Eu : it is for the while very interesting to notice that german government , all german car makers and even french Renault Group are absolutely dead against such a decision of more production of new cars in the Ue because they of course still want to be able to export on the ue market, new cars produced at cheap price in countries all around the world like China, Morocco , Algeria, Turkey and maybe tomorrow Ukraine if peace negociations with Russia can get concluded and why not from Iran if the Mollahs regim is sent to hell by that dear Donnie ! So Business as usual !

I forgot to talk about the position of chinese car makers with Ue policy : Byd is planning to open a giant factory in Hungary next year with 400 thousands cars production a year expected and they are also planning to open another factories in Spain and Turkey
