I can't think of an example where nepotism is good (both in the business world or politics), you should be hired/appointed based on your skills. Unfortunately, it stems from the foundation of human interactions and I think it will never disappear. I guess you could technically make it disappear the day the entire society is run by an emotion/bias free entity (AGI?), but I'm not sure it's desirable either 😛.

I am not going to deny it, but in F1, nepotism has historically been somewhat successful (Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz (father was in motor sports) are fine examples). In the business world and the political world nepotism is a catastrophe, it does not allow natural talent to enter the stream and allows someone unworthy to take important positions. In India, this is a very serious problem, our second largest political party is the definition of nepotism.
