We spoke about Gaza in our society class in school last week and it was super strange the discussion i think. Our teacher asked WHY is Israel attacking Gaza so much and what do you think of it. So about the last thing everybody said that they want it to stop but that was not strange. There are so many victims and i think it should stop. And i think everybody wants that.

BUTTT about WHY Israel does keeps doing it is bc Israel wants Hamas to be stopped. That is also what they said in the news. Our teacher said that was wrong. He said that there are also other reasons why he thinks that Israel keeps doing it. One of that is that if Israel acts weak that more groups will attack Israel so that is why they react super heavy. But one person of my class said that he thinks that is not true bc if Israel acts super heavy it will make more enemies too. So i dont know anymore what is true and not.

And another reason our teacher said is that bc of what Trump said about Gaza being different in the future that Israel wants to destroy as much as possible bc that way there is more chance that everybody will say Gaza must be completely made new (like in Trumps way). But if that is true it is genocide bc that also happened in the second World War. I am also confused about it bc it is strange if it is really true. And in the news it is always that Israel says the attacks is bc of Hamas fighters or to rescue kidnapped people. But there are also a lot of victims who are not from Hamas! It is very difficult to know what is really true and not about the situation. The only thing i know is true is that the attacks should stop and all kidnapped people must be freed. That is the only way to make peace again.

I think the war in Gaza is stupid. Hamas was evil to start it in the way they did it. There is no excuse for what they did. And Israel has no excuse to keep doing what they do now. Anything else which i hear or read does not change that for me.

For example, i live close to Amsterdam but i will NOTTT be in a protest in public. Several protests like the student protests at universities got completely too far and a lot was destroyed in the building with a lot of damage and some groups were even looking for persons and it was really dangerous. I will not do that bc i REALLY feel unsafe with that and i know others who also think the same way. In our school we collected bottles and cans.
