• Living abroad for one year

  If I could live abroad for one year, I think I'd like to live in Germany. We're really into board games and many of the best ones are from there. I'd probably be able to find people to play with.

  To be honest, though, I wouldn't want to live abroad for a year. It would be difficult with the pets and all. I like staying home.

• My proudest accomplishments

  I have been teaching for 30 years and I really love it. (not the paperwork)

• Cities and countries I have visited

  When I was in high school and college I travelled to Ireland, England, and Canada. My husband and I visited Canada again about 15 years ago.

• My interests in other cultures

  I like to learn about people and what they think and how their lives are the same and different from mine. I was disappointed to learn that racism is just as strong in Europe as it is here, but at least I know.

• I'm an expert at...

  I am more of a "Jack of all trades and a master of none". I'm pretty good at walking my dog and cuddling with my cats!

• A personal challenge

  The hardest thing I've ever done is lose a child.

  My current challenge is to learn as much about anti-racism as possible.
