• Cities and countries I have visited

  I have visited Italy and Germany a lot. Two years ago, I went to Canada and that was amazing. And next year, I'm going to South-Africa, and I'm really excited for that!

• Something uncommon about me

  Hi, I'm Laura and I'm sixteen years old. I can speak Dutch, English and a little bit French. I really like to improve on my French, but I also like to talk to people from different countries.
  I like to talk about books, music, movies, musicals series and a lot of other things.

• I always enjoy talking about...

  I like to talk about books, movies, series, musicals and music. I could talk hours and hours about those subjects !

• Favourite books/authors/films

  My favorite books are the Harry Potter series. I've red them a lot, but I still love them. Go ask Alice is also an amazing book, I would really recommend it. I have red a lot, and I still read a lot.
  My favorite series are stranger things and the haunting of Hill House. I like to watch movies and series, but I really can't chose between them.

• My interests in other cultures

  I like to learn about other cultures and languages. I find it interesting how different my culture is from an other country. But also what things we have in common.

  I like to learn more about other countries and their languages. The reason i signed up for this is because i want to improve my French, but i also like to talk to people from different places. I can speak a little French, and i am really good at English.

• I feel concerned about...

  I have a lot of friends that are in the LGBTQ+ community, and i am really open for it! But I see that a lot of people are still very homophobic, or that they can't accept it. And that's so sad, because we are all people, so there shouldn't have to be a difference between us right? Apparently a lot of people disagree, and I find it horrible.

• Improving the school system

  One thing I hate from the current school system, are the language courses. I follow a Cambridge course now, and that one is good, but the other courses are horrible! For example: French. We have to make a couple of exercises and learn some words and that's it. The system doesn't focus on improving skills like writing or speaking. That annoys me.

• Living abroad for one year

  If i would spent one year in a different country, it would be in Canada. I have been in Canada and I loved it. If Canada wasn't an option, I would spent a year in Italy, because I've been there a lot, and I love the country (and the food of course 😉 )
