I am among others but they are strangers, I don't have a lot of people close to me, only my parents, but no others that I feel comfortable around. And even with my old friends I didn't feel comfortable. I would like to meet someone I feel safe to open up to.
I don't think others don't have problems, just would like to make friends more easily. But you're probably right, I do have introverted tendencies. Thanks.
As I had such a (long) phase in the 2000s, too I can only advise: Be patient - and never try to enforce something. People are good in it to recognize those tries. Scientists found out that two central conditions must exists to create a friendship to somebody: Time and sympathy. If only one of both isn´t there you will never step forward over a barrier from "known people" to friends.
Time means, that you have to stay together with people, talk with them - the more time you spend with them, the better. The sympathy will develop out of this time - or not. You cannot enforce sympathy so maybe its harder for the one to make friends than for the other.
A good advise is often to join a club - people share the same interest and almost everywhere at least somebody is an open mind person to get in contact with.
Solitude isn't a defect but a gift to know one's self better and deeper. If you pass through it properly, you shall arrive in real you. If real you is absent in your life, then everybody is just transpassers.

You're right about that. People are also lonely when they abandon themselves to fit in, then you're lonely within yourself. When you enhance the relationship with yourself, your energy changes from neediness to not being needy and people sense that. So being okay with yourself, feeling connected to yourself, is key. Always.
